Information evening for expectant parents

The birth of a baby is a completely new challenge for expectant parents, which often raises many questions. The Hospital zum Heiligen Geist offers information evenings for expectant parents as a hybrid event. The experienced midwives, nurses and doctors at our maternity clinic introduce themselves and the clinic and are happy to answer all your questions about the birth via chat.

Planning the birth, counselling for high-risk pregnancies

In this consultation, you can ask any questions you may have about the upcoming birth. We plan your birth with you, whether by caesarean section or spontaneously, and are also available to answer any questions you may have if you have concomitant illnesses such as diabetes or high blood pressure. Sonographic diagnostics for high-risk pregnancies are also offered as part of this consultation.

The consultation is offered by Dr Mariya Pileva-Reiher, Senior Physician and Medical Director of Obstetrics.

Midwife consultation and registration

We will inform you in detail about the birth process in a personal consultation. We would like to answer all your questions. If you decide to give birth in our delivery room, you will discuss the desired pregnancy process with your midwife. This will allow you to look forward to your due date with peace of mind. We will also advise you on alternative methods for pregnancy complaints. Please bring your maternity pass and health insurance card with you.

Medical care before, during and after the birth

In this video, Dr Mariya Pileva-Reiher, Senior Physician at the Clinic for Gynaecology and Obstetrics, will give you an insight into medical care before, during and after the birth. We attach great importance to your individual wishes and needs. In the video, you will find out what options are available to you to experience a safe and self-determined birth. Hardly any other experience is as personal and dramatic as the birth of a child. It is a moment full of joy and great challenges at the same time. Where better to begin this new phase of life than in a family environment? In an atmosphere where the needs of family and child are prioritised? Acupuncture

We treat pregnancy complaints such as heartburn, carpal tunnel syndrome, water retention, sleep problems, back pain and much more. From the 36th week of pregnancy, we start to prepare your body for the birth.

Laser therapy

Laser therapy is a pain-free treatment that improves your well-being during pregnancy and after the birth. This option can also be used for complaints such as caesarean section scars and nipple discomfort. Our specially trained team will be happy to advise you.

General support after the birth

Breastfeeding outpatient clinic and counselling

If you have any questions about breastfeeding, please visit us in our breastfeeding outpatient clinic.

When: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 2.00 pm
Where: Parents' School, Rechneigrabenstr. 2, 60311 Frankfurt
Who: Sigrun Fritzsche (breastfeeding counsellor)
Cost: 20.00 Euro (one-off)

Breastfeeding counselling: The service includes intensive and individual support and advice during a breastfeeding session. By telephone appointment under: (069) 2196 - 2770. The cost for individual counselling is 50.00 euros/hour.

Midwife and nursing rounds

Our midwives, paediatric nurses and nursing staff make daily rounds. Here you can clarify any uncertainties and doubts that may arise regarding the care of your baby and the puerperium.

Midwife outpatient clinic

For new parents, a midwife is on hand to offer help and advice in the Parents' School at the Hospital zum Heiligen Geist.
